The Anti-Sweatshop Community
Hi all- |
I'm new here, just have a quick questions- does anyone know where I can get some good athletic shoes that aren't made in sweatshops? As far as I can tell, all of the major athletic clothing companies use sweatshop labor... :(
coopamerica.com has a nice list of sweatshop free products:http://www.coopamerica.org/programs/sweatshops/sweatfreeproducts.cfm
these are the brands they have listed for footwear:
Air Step, Belleville, Brown Shoes, Carolina, Danner, Matterhorn, Natural Sport, Naturalizer, Nunn Bush, Red Wing, Stacy Adams, Totes Boots, Wolverine (UFCW)
hope that helps!
Check out the user info for this community.
There's a big list, but I think the best for sneakers is No Sweat Apparel.

No sweat apparel - and the conscientious consumer blog
No sweat apparel has some as well.
Best of luck!
p.s. - I'm working on a blog that will eventually be an arsenal of info for the responsibly-minded shopper -
I'd love input from all of you to help make this the best possible hub of information ever.
